Jackson Property, and in particular Matthew Jackson, are celebrating winning a prestigious award for their charity fund raising at the recent Mayfair Group annual conference and dinner. The awards dinner is held at the RAF Club in London's Piccadilly and is a high point of the year for the UK's leading independent estate agents.Firms from across the UK and from overseas met at the dinner and once again competition for the top group awards was fierce.Bill Jackson, Chairman of Jackson Property, says, “We are thrilled to have received an award this year for our charity fund raising. This represents a terrific effort and we are more than delighted to have come out top against some of the strongest and most influential firms in the country.”The award won was the Jenny Murray Punchbowl. This is presented to the firm which has contributed the most to charity over the year through its fund-raising efforts. This year, Matthew Jackson completed the Three Peaks Challenge – a gruelling feat in itself, but even more of an achievement for Matthew who had a heart transplant 25 years ago when he was 19. Matthew was keen to celebrate his 25th anniversary by undertaking this challenge to raise money and to highlight the need for organ donors and bring hope to those awaiting a transplant or who have recently undergone one.So far Matthew has raised an amazing £10,000 for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and the Wye Valley NHS Trust.
